Boss & I

When I take a long time to finish,
I am slow,
When my boss takes a long time,
he is thorough

When I don't do it,
I am lazy,
When my boss does not do it,
he is busy,

When I do something without being told,
I am trying to be smart,
When my boss does the same,
he takes the initiative!

When I please my boss,
I am apple polishing,
When my boss pleases his boss,
he is cooperating,

When I make a mistake,
you're an idiot.
When my boss makes a mistake,
he's only human.

When I am out of the office,
I am wandering around.
When my boss is out of the office,
he's on business.

When I am on a day off sick,
I am always sick.
When my boss is a day off sick,
he must be very ill.

When I apply for leave,
I must be going for an interview
When my boss applies for leave,
it's because he's overworked

When I do good,
my boss never remembers,
When I do wrong,
he never forgets

Dear Almighty

Dear Almighty,

Please get me out from here. Else, one day, there will be no boundary between the angle and the evil. Please... let me go...

Manglish in my life...

I'm a big fan of Manglish. Guess most of my close friends realize that. I use Manglish excessively, until I believe Manglish is actually bahasa rasmi. Tih tih tih...

Anyway,
I attended a training by Kualiti A*** last Tuesday. To my amusement, his Manglish is super WOW WOW until I can't myself help from grinning during the training. (so mean of me if i were to laugh my head of kan...).

1. Terima kasih kerana meng'invite' Kualiti A*** menyampaikan ...
2. We come forward to service you. (My fav! It keeps me thinking a few sec to actually understand that the actually message is "we look forward to serve you"... hihi).
3. I don't think we check the chemical content in the fish yang kita makan.
4. Who interesting to know more, please come to Kualiti A***.

While I'm writing this, then I realize, this is not Manglish. This is English deficiencies.

Lebih haru lagi, dia adalah seorang MANAGER. Yep... MANAGER.
Adusss...

Ariff again

Ariff makes my head spinning again.

Untuk kesekian kalinya, Ariff tak mau pegi sekolah. WOW!!! Mak die mengamuk OK... Selepas di dush dush sekali dua (bukan babak penderaan kanak-kanak), they both sat silent.

The mother asked Ariff, why he don't want to go to school.

He said "Malas".

(Mak usu dengar pun jadi panas...)

He added "Ariff tau, Ariff tak bole malas. Dalam diri Ariff ada 2. Satu yang malas, satu lagi tak nak malas. Tapi kadang-kadang Ariff tak bole lawan yang malas tu".

Erk... It is hard to believe he is standard two kid. Oooo shoot. What I've done to him!!! Someone, tell me, is it true we can differentiate the voices inside us since we were that young?

Updates
------------
This is the email I received from my sis, regarding Ariff.

Cikgu Haslina pun naik fedup tunggu....jeng....jeng.....jeng.....akhirnya Amier Ariff Bin Zulkifli dengan tulus hati mengaku bahawa sebenarnya dia malas nak g sekolah. Cikgu Haslina tanya ngapa. Amier Ariff Bin Zulkifli pun cakap sebab belajar benda yang sama jer....

Workshop with Kam Raslan

The seats are full (I think because it is free... I really think so!)

Without further a due, I contacted him (Kam Raslan) and ask for other workshop, if any. He replied:

Dear Syajaratul,

I'm sorry they turned you away. The workshop has been surprisingly overbooked. It was meant for 30 but now it's up to 60. I think that MPH might be putting on an extra date, but I'm not sure.

I do intend doing more workshops but not immediately, but hopefully soon. But the next workshops won't be free. Having said that, I'll make sure you get a special discount.

I'll email you when I know about the dates.

Ayo... So when is it? And I hope when he said special discount, he really means special. Anyway, I'll attend it even though there is no discount. He's cool.

This guy is so funny. He is so spontaneous in writing and what I admire the most is that he dares to say what he thinks. Maybe I should learn to accept criticize positively then I'll be open to others kot... I don't know.

Though this is my blog, but still I don't have the courage to pour everything on the site. Wish I could be that brave and daring. My wishful thinking said...

One of his book. Hilarious. Actually, you can always relate the 'cerita dongeng' to real incident. It is just the matter you realize it or not.

Hari yang terlalu tenang...

When the storm strikes through, we beg for a tranquil and peaceful day. A day that slides smoothly, without much friction.

But when the day is so calm and plain, we demand for some spice and salt (pepper and salt? anyone?).

How ungrateful a man can be. And I am one of them. What am I muttering for? Something out of reach?

Community Service II

13 April 2008 (ooo shoot!!! haven't wish Shah yet... allorrr... so forgetful I am)

4.00 p.m
Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan XXX

I went back early... (giggle)...

Overall the program is OK laaa (rating 1 - 5, i give 2.5). This program is to instill the awareness to my dear (pity) adik-adik sekolah menengah on the bombing (konon) biotech industry in Malaysia. YAY!!!

I just wondering, how bored the students are at the program. With all the ceramahs, the lengthy talks bout biotech, and you can see them over dose with biotech...

Before the ceramahs

During and after the ceramahs
Even the facilitator also overdosed with the word biotech

From the talk, there are a few statements that I kindly slash them. How la you scientist buat kesimpulan that easy. Ishk... And you please la... know your audience. You cannot simply campainging biotech here and there, claiming biotech is the current wave. Are we ready for it? Do the students ready to understand? Can't you make it more educational(ada roh sket) instead of memenuhi seruan kerajaan?

The statement 1: 2% from world population refuse to use GMO/GMP. This number is negligible...
2% from population is banyak OK!!! It is not negligible. 2% don't want to use biotech product because they UNDERSTAND very much that GMP may have side effect. It is not they don't know or they are stupid. Bozo!!! Even those who refuse to use GMP is the educated one... Allloo... please la don't fool the student...

The statement 2: Ordinary tomatoes do not contain gene. Genetically modified ones do. True or false?
Of course la the answer is false. We know la coz we are in the industry. But school children? How do you expect them to know? I admit they are smarter that we are during school days, but here is Nilai ma... Educate first la... I bet, they don't even understand what gene is. (Or I under estimate them?)

The statement 3: Bila ilmu biotek ditemui?
A: Sejak tempe ditemui
B:6000 BC
C: 10 tahun dahulu
D: 50 tahun dahulu

The statement 4: Apa yang anda fikirkan bila terdengar perkataan bioteknologi?
Aliran sains tulen : teknologi bio yang membolehkan ...... (and the definition goes on)
Aliran lain : Biologi plus teknologi (even more accurate than the first one)
Pemandu teksi di Nilai: Ubat / kilang ubat
Commoner: Buat ubat. Even worst yg cakap pasal kacip fatimah and tongkat ali. can't have any other application kah???
Aliran saya: Pak Lah... (can or not?)

I do wish the student gain benefits from the program. I don't think they understand much, but I hope they can understand that biotech is much more than plastic CSI. (Why I didn't turn to be FBI agent??? X-File was a hot stuff back then... Or else now I might be flirting with alien from Planet Jauh)

In the end of the day, I know one of them gonna be one good sasterawan... Another "Ahadiat Akashah" maybe... (Bapak odoh, Anak cacat)

Something I hate in parenting

Yesterday I was wondering around in Alamanda. Trying to get myself blouse(s). But, in the end, I end up buying cards for friends. 1 for my friend who help me a lot, and another 1 is for my virtual friend. Is that all??? Yep...

But that's not the incident that irk me to death. I was annoyed simply by a FATHER who scolded his cute son for being a child. I mean, it's normal for kids asking a lot of questions, wana buy this and that. If you as a father can't bare with the kerenah, then don't bring your children to shopping mall. Let them stay at home and play with Neng / Mbak. For me, his son is considered nice already because if he was my nephew, he would be guling-guling on the floor already. Phew....

Back to the story, can't you as a father play a softer role? Itu baru sorang anak. What if you got 2? or 3? or even 6? Parents nowdays are too modern. Eating at the fast food, giving excessive luxury to the child (PS2, Astro, Entertaiment, etc), too much freedom, less akhlak education.

I cannot say much since I don't have any, but when thinking of these issue, I want to vomit. My child must be very dull if I to train them like the way I want them to be. Pity them seh...

VENTING

When SYAITANIC whisper keep playing in your ears... When the hatred and anger filling in all your nerves... And you keep loosing your sanity to lil insignificant moment... What shall you do? What shall I do? How to replace SYATANIC lullaby to ANGELIC harp?

Umbrella

Someone dear browse through my page. Thanks. Suddenly feels so morose and crestfallen. Again, life means move forward. But yesterday, still remains where they are.

When the sun shines, we’ll shine together Told you I'll be here forever Said I'll always be a friend Took an oath I'ma stick it out till the end Now that it's raining more than ever Know that we'll still have each other

Yep... I'll be here.

Move forward...

No matter how hard it may be...
No matter how painful it can be...
Just close your eyes,
Move forward.

At the moment of glory,
You realize that,
The best time while making decision,
Is when you start to move forward...

My friends,
Hold my hand,
Let's move forward.
For our beautiful future..

What You Give You Get Back

After the generous surprise of "Generation: The Young Malaysian Ideas" to a stranger of my life, everything seems so normal to me (sigh). Just like TOC reading without biofilm. Boring...

The intention of the book give away is to share the joyful feeling reading those brilliant and wit articles. I guess, die tak baca pun lagi buku tu even though the first chapter, cerita pasal binatang kegemaran die iaitu khinzir, atau nama klasiknya babi.

Thanks to my dear friend Jessica Alba (bukan nama sebenar :p), for showing me the feeling of receiving something out of nowhere by sending me ::Rihanna::good girl gone bad:: Yay!!! So nice... When everything seems so wrong and out of place, suddenly this sweet things come knock on my table.

To you who happened to read this:: The morale is to keep doing good. If you really do it for a good cause, HE will pay you. Maybe not by the same person, but by someone else. Sometimes, it is even better than what you expected. Believe me... Keep doing good... Keep swimming... Thanks Jessica...

For your tatapan, the cover page of ::Rihanna::good girl gone bad::
