The End of 2008

2008 ends beautifully.

My best friend engaged with her knight in shining armor & cheerful Choco Fountain safely deliver a beautiful baby girl.

Hopefully, with all these beautiful things around me, 2009 promise me a wonderful years ahead.

Resolution? Never believe in New Year Resolution because I always believe, the best time to change is NOW.

Thanks to Mr. Sponsor & his lovely wife. The dinner was great, and I believe everybody had a great fun. :)

To Choco Fountain and husband (not to forget 3+1 beautiful kids), thanks for coordinating, transporting and entertaining us with the 'Perfume'.

P/S: Bubba Gump is as Forrest Gump. Thus the concept is actually "Forrest Gump". We kindda eager waiting for the quiz (while waiting the order to arrive, usually they will give us quiz, regarding the movie) but maybe due to the heavy traffic, there were no quiz :( (as if kalau ada, bole jawab pun kan???)

It is a pleasant surprise to see the parcel I received not in a box (since I'm expecting delivery from supplier as well). So, straight away tersengih2 sebab dah tau what I'll be having!

Even better when I realize I receive not just 1, or 2, but 3 Pramoedya. Woohoo... And when Ibu Adam come back from Singapore, it will add up to 4 books to gobble.

YOGA Haramization

I might be conservative in a way, but yea... guess a lil bit liberal...

I just can't understand how they can haramize the Yoga but, they couldn't arrest AYAH PIN which for me clearly deviate from the teaching.

Yoga is basically a form of exercise, like chi qong, tai chi (to name a few). It always when the practitioner want to climb the higher spirit of it, they start to recite weird chanting, mantra, and stuff like that. There are many muslim out there practicing Yoga, neglecting the chanting. Does this makes Yoga haram?

Even silat have the mandi bunga, mandi minyak rituals and all sort of doubtness. Why it is not been HARAMIZED? Not to include "Pendamping" and stuff.

Prevention is better that cure. True. But, instead banning/ haraming the exercise, why not implementing other measures (FIRST, before implementing the haramization) that feed the same purpose like;

1. Educate people about Aqidah
2. Educate people about Solah
3. Create new stylish exercise (well, we like to be in trend :p)
4. Or prepare muslim yoga / exercise center (without mantra / chanting)

On point no. 1 and 2, I bet many don't understand the secret behind every posture during Solah. Solah, is also a source of exercise. Every step lies spiritual and physical meaning (some of the yoga posture, macam posture solah).

This kind of information should be shared so that everybody would perform the 5 times prayers plus the sunnah with spiritual and scientific understanding. Kalau tak, tak kan la kite jumpe ramai yang puasa tapi tak sembahyang. why? simply sebab puasa bole kurus... lol

Bukan la pulak nak mengajak orang sembahyang untuk exercise sahaja, but not everybody see things from the same point of view. sometimes, we could not agree even in one small minor thing. So, mulakan dengan yang mudah, lama kelamaan, dedahkan kepada yang lebih dalam.

It just my 2 cent. maybe 50 cent. I like yoga, as much i like tai chi and chi qong. this haramization is quite shocking since banyak lagi mende perlu diharamkan.

Additional notes:
1. Give alternative version of yoga, says Perlis Mufti
2. Hope the haramization process, goes parallel with the process of enhancing Muslim awareness about Aqidah. Once we all understand the same baseline, then the implementation of haramization will give effect.

For those been reading Pak Pram's book, there is nothing new in this tittle. It is more like a recap for his previous works, narrated in form of discussion by Pak Pram, Andre Vltchek, and Rossie Indira.

It just a bit of here and there of his general thinking about KUDETA 1965, pembentukan & kemusnahan budaya di Indonesia, a lil bit bout regim Soeharto, how Soekarno dijatuhkan... And of coz, future.

Nothing much elaborated in details bout his idea, unlike his other books. But then,for beginners like me, this book is sufficient to help me to have general idea bout who he was and what he was thinking.

I think whatever happened in our country now, is a slight repetation of what happened in Indo in the year 1965. Maybe tak seteruk itu, but the plot is pretty much the same.

Lesson from the young

Was driving from kampung with my mom and fav nephew. Borak2 with mummy pasal kereta. Kereta tercalar sket, how it happened, how sad it scratched.

Suddenly, a small and low voice from the back seat "Sayang diri Mak Usu dulu baru sayang kereta".

Tih tih tih... aku terkasima.

He is so good in conveying such wisdom to me, in his sincere and childish way. Thanks dear.

My 2 cents

I know we are all in hari raya mood, hari raya environment, hari raya everything. But can someone share with me what is hari raya is all about???

Is hari raya is about kuih raya? or baju raya? lagu raya? mercun? at least sekarang dah takde kad raya...

I'm tired answering questions such;

"Dah beli baju raya?"

"Buat kuih ape tahun ni?"

as well as keep listening to hari raya song everyday. Cliche.

Hari raya is the day we celebrating the victory against our nafs. Just imagine, after all the effort to control our desire during the holy month of Ramadhan (no eating, no drinking, no mengumpating, no here no there), we spent like hell for one day occasion? Is that what our religion teach us??? Na.... I don't think so.

During the hari raya, we are advised to wear CLEAN and BEAUTIFUL cloth. Fine if you want to have new cloth for hari raya, but to have it like 3, 4, 5 pasang... hehehe... just a nice U-turn to our old habit after it was nicely refined during Ramadhan.

It just my 2 cents. The spirit of hari raya is more than all the above. It is about love, forgiveness, sharing and togetherness...

Was having iftar with my teammate at Bagan Lalang yesterday. Mesmerized by the idea of the Sepang Gold Coast. I think it is the first in semenanjung to apply that concept (the one in Sipadan almost the same concept, tapi nama die bukan Sipadan Gold Coast), even though ada je Gold Coast lain kat dunia ni.

It suppose to turn to something like this later...Well, even though location tak strategik langsung (next to ladang 'u know what' & the west coast pantai not as nice as the east coast pantai), but the idea of rumah atas air, tepi pantai sungguh la menenangkan perasaan.

Abdullah, Najib swap portfolios

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi announced he would be handing over the Finance Ministry portfolio to his deputy. In a direct swap, Abdullah would take over the Defence Ministry from Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Prime Minister announced this at a press conference Wednesday.

The swap of duties is to take effect immediately.

The move is part of the agreed transition plan which both Abdullah and Najib reaffirmed on Wednesday.

In July, Abdullah and Najib agreed to the transition plan for the Prime Minister to hand over power to him in 2010. The plan was endorsed by the party supreme council later.

It was awesome!!!

Went home last week. Not knowing that my other siblings will be home as well.

The outcome

1. Juicy and tender daging batang pinang yang dipanggang. Minimal marinate brings out the natural taste of the meat. Salutation to Abg Zul for the nicely grilled daging batang pinang.


2. All time favorite caramel pudding. Spek, nanti ko balik sini, baru buat puding ni eh... Nanti jadi nasi lemak lagi. :p Anyway, Kak Long mmg selalu ingat ko kalau buat pudding ni.

3. Erm... Ketam masak lemak... Not actually my fav.


4. And home made karipap. Kentang and daging. Bukan fully kentang or keledek. Hihi... And yes, pada sesiapa yang terhiris, terguris tu... inilah karipap nye.


And also Murtabak pekan, cream puff, laksa putih, pais tempoyak, sayur and lalala... I was freak out tgk seme makanan penuh meja... But, since it always once in the blue moon that we manage to gather all of the siblings, I think it was cool. The smiles on my parents face... LOVELY.
